EPC said it will showcase next-generation GaN solutions for AI, robotics, space, and autonomous machines at electronica 2026, with the event scheduled for November 10–13 in Munich at Hall C6, Booth 221. The space-focused portfolio includes radiation-hardened GaN technology for DC-DC converters, point-of-load and intermediate voltage regulator applications, and space computing, specifically the EPC7011, EPC7009, and radiation-tolerant EPC7050PCSH, EPC7066PCSH, and EPC7065PCSH devices.
The technical significance is high for lunar systems: GaN power stages can cut conversion losses, reduce mass and volume, and improve thermal performance in spacecraft and habitat electronics. EPC’s newer space parts are aimed at high-current, compact power conversion, and the company previously stated the EPC7066PCSH is rated at 25 V, 101 A with 0.37 mΩ typical RDS(on), while the EPC7065PCSH is rated at 40 V, 101 A continuous current with 0.5 mΩ typical RDS(on). Such performance matters for resilient habitat power buses, local energy storage, robotics, and compute nodes exposed to harsh radiation and limited cooling.
Ark should track whether EPC’s rad-hard and radiation-tolerant GaN parts move from showcase to qualified flight use, and whether EPC publishes radiation data, thermal cycling results, and space-heritage deployments for the EPC7011/EPC7009 and the 7050PCSH/7066PCSH/7065PCSH family. Priority integration targets are lunar power distribution, battery charging, point-of-load regulation, rover motor drives, and compact compute modules where every watt, kilogram, and failure point matters.
