True long-term autonomy requires the Ark to live off the land. L1-ISR extracts oxygen, water ice, and raw materials from the lunar regolith — the Moon is resource-rich if you have the systems to access it. L1-WTR closes the water loop entirely, recovering water from every possible source and purifying it back to potable quality. L1-WMS ensures that nothing becomes permanent waste — all organic and inorganic streams are processed back into usable feedstock for either the preservation systems or L1-MFG manufacturing.
