Multi-Sensor Fusion

Multi-Sensor Fusion for Structural State Estimation

Multi-sensor fusion for structural state estimation is an embedded software process stored on radiation-hardened NOR flash that consolidates data from 500 seismic, strain, acoustic, tilt, settlement, and load sensors into a unified structural state model. Drawing 2 watts of power over a 100-year design lifetime with a 500,000-hour mean time between failures, the system uses extended Kalman filters, particle filters, and machine-learning algorithms to cross-validate incoming channels. By detecting cross-sensor inconsistencies, it isolates localized physical anomalies and outputs authenticated structural health reports across long-duration lunar surface deployments.
