Docking Infrastructure for Cargo Drop-Off

Cargo drop-off docking infrastructure provides standardized mechanical interfaces at surface hoppers and warehouses to enable autonomous payload transfer across lunar facilities. Constructed with aluminum alignment ramps and stainless contact points, each 200-kilogram dock uses mechanical guidance and inductive position confirmation to execute automated unloading via tilt mechanisms or augers. Operating in the presence of abrasive lunar regolith requires durable, long-life robotic-mate interfaces that function without direct human intervention. Drawing 10 watts of operational power, the 20-dock network is engineered for a 200,000-hour mean time between failures and a 50-year operational lifetime.
