Autonomous Ground Vehicle

CubeRover-Class AGV for Light-Duty Transport

The CubeRover-class autonomous ground vehicle is a 15-kilogram, battery-electric platform designed for light-duty cargo transport of 5 to 25 kilograms across lunar settlement sites. Built with a carbon-fiber chassis, aluminum wheels, and brushless DC motors, the four-wheel-drive rover negotiates slopes up to 30 degrees at a top speed of 10 centimeters per second while drawing 50 watts of power. Operating in the lunar vacuum and abrasive regolith, the vehicle provides multi-kilometer range per charge and utilizes inductive charging to maintain a 15-year operational lifetime with a 10,000-hour mean time between failures.
