Storage Monitoring

Tank Level + Temperature + Leak Telemetry

The water storage monitoring system is a 2-kilogram, 5-watt telemetry suite that tracks fluid levels, temperatures, leaks, and microbial indicators across settlement storage tanks. Using cross-checked capacitive probes and load cells, the assembly maintains 1% level accuracy alongside PT1000 RTDs and acoustic leak detectors capable of registering losses down to 5 grams per hour. Operating in the lunar radiation environment requires radiation-tolerant sensor electronics, while an intended 20-year lifetime with a 150,000-hour mean time between failures necessitates calibration drift compensation and sensor redundancy to prevent single-point faults.
