Water Quality Monitor
Multi-Parameter Inline Water Quality Sensor Suite
The Multi-Parameter Inline Water Quality Sensor Suite is a two-kilogram diagnostic instrument that monitors water purity across settlement purification stages to provide closed-loop quality control. Built from 316L stainless steel, the assembly incorporates platinum conductivity electrodes measuring 0.05 to 1000 µS/cm, a UV-persulfate analyzer detecting total organic carbon from 1 to 5000 ppb, a turbidity sensor, and a pH electrode using 10 watts of power. Operating on the Moon requires radiation-tolerant electronics to survive cumulative total ionizing dose without atmospheric shielding, fouling-resistant flow cells, and onboard reference calibration to counter sensor drift over an 80,000-hour mean time between failures.
