Fabricated from 316L stainless steel shells with polypropylene liners, the twelve-bin assembly provides 50 liters of capacity per unit at a total mass of 30 kilograms. Lunar operations require containment against vacuum exposure and ambient dust ingress, which each unit achieves using EPDM-free, vacuum-rated lid seals that isolate internal odors and particulates. These modular, zero-watt bins maintain per-category waste segregation and integrate mechanical interfaces for robotic pickup.
