Mobile Inspection Platform

Mobile Inspection Platform Carrier

The Mobile Inspection Platform Carrier is a 20-kilogram robotic surface vehicle built with an aluminum chassis and sealed wheels to transport up to 30 kilograms of modular survey instruments across lunar sites. Derived from the CubeRover architecture, the platform utilizes low-noise propulsion and a slow traverse rate to preserve sensor stability during periodic measurements. Consuming 30 watts of power, it provides a 15-year service lifetime and a 15,000-hour mean time between failures, coordinating autonomous inspection routes with maintenance systems while its sealed mechanical assemblies protect internal drive mechanisms from abrasive lunar regolith.
