Power Conversion Unit Internal and External Cabling

The power conversion wiring harness comprises heavy-gauge copper bus bars, PTFE-insulated power cables, and braided EMI shielding that route electricity between conversion stages and the main distribution bus with minimal losses. Incorporating redundant paths for critical circuits, the assembly employs temperature-rated connectors for hot-side reactor interfaces and shielded lines to suppress electromagnetic interference generated by switching converters. Lunar environmental conditions introduce distinct operational challenges: repeated thermal cycling progressively increases connector contact resistance over time, pervasive dust risks contaminating exposed connector assemblies, and cable routing must be configured to minimize thermal coupling to sensitive systems.
