Automated Tool Storage and Retrieval System

The Automated Tool Storage and Retrieval System (ATSR) is a 50-kilogram storage assembly consisting of modular aluminum racks and stainless tool holders designed to manage 500 standardized tool slots for L1-MFG operations. Consuming 10 watts of power, the unit relies on RFID tagging and L1-DVT indexing to coordinate automated tool transfers with L1-ROB robotic systems. Designed for a 25-year service lifetime and a 200,000-hour mean time between failures, the hardware maintains long-life structural support and robotic accessibility under continuous lunar manufacturing demands.
