Jig and Fixture Library

Standardized Jig + Fixture Library for Operations

The Standardized Jig and Fixture Library is a modular tooling system of 50 fixture types designed to secure components during lunar machining, welding, and assembly operations. Operating at zero power consumption over a 20-year lifetime, the initial 30 kg hardware base comprises modular clamps and 3D-printed PEEK and aluminum fixtures. Because lunar operations preclude regular terrestrial resupply and manual intervention, components are engineered for robotic handling and in-situ reproduction via 3D printing to close the manufacturing loop. Tracked within the L1-DVT inventory, the standardized tooling architecture maintains a mean time between failures of 500,000 hours.
