Florida Today lists Blue Origin’s Blue Moon Pathfinder as a November 2026 launch with no firm date or time announced. A New Glenn rocket is expected to depart Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station carrying a Blue Moon lunar lander and NASA payloads on a demonstration mission; the schedule remains subject to change.[1]
The mission is relevant to Ark planning because it tests an integrated heavy-lift launch and lunar-lander architecture rather than an isolated spacecraft component. Successful delivery of NASA payloads would provide evidence for future transport of power systems, communications equipment, scientific instruments, cryogenic-storage hardware, and other infrastructure, while failure would expose risks in launch reliability, lunar descent, landing operations, and payload survival.[1]
The Ark team should monitor the final launch date, New Glenn flight performance, landing accuracy, payload deployment, communications continuity, surface-environment data, and any anomalies. These results should feed a transport-risk model using demonstrated—not advertised—mass delivery, landing precision, redundancy, and recovery timelines for phased lunar infrastructure deployment.[1]
