Ark action: monitor the BioVault’s handling of cold-chain requirements, sample viability metrics, open-data standards, and legal ownership rules; benchmark whether the program actually reaches the full 2,300-plus species target; and adapt its governance model for the Moon. The Ark should also assess whether the current Earth-based biobank architecture can be mirrored in a lunar vault with higher survivability, including multi-site redundancy, power-failure tolerance, and periodic viability testing of stored tissues and cell lines.
