The technical value is latency reduction: shifting from slower notification channels to real-time voice calls compresses the time between detection and human action, which matters when a potentially hazardous object must be triaged, verified, and escalated under time pressure. For lunar habitation, the key lesson is that warning systems must be channel-agnostic, redundant, and operational around the clock so that lunar crews, Earth control, and autonomous safeguards can react before an impact threat becomes a systems emergency.[1]
